Dignity is a Kitechild Core Value. We believe in the inherent worth of each person. While we work in partnership, Kitechild acknowledges that power differences exist despite our best efforts. Therefore, we have the following policies, which we put into practice, in order to protect those who are more vulnerable to abuse. We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse, and encourage all communication of concerns regarding financial, sexual, physical, or emotional improprieties by our staff, volunteers, or partners. Kitechild takes every report seriously, historic or current concerns, and will hold confidentiality unless mandated to do otherwise or if someone’s safety is at stake.
If you have a report, please use REPORT@kitechild.org to contact us.
We want to be transparent and build trust. Please find below our policies and procedures.
- Code of Conduct
- Safeguarding Policy
- Whistleblower Policy
Since we do not provide direct services to children or vulnerable adults, our work with strengthening our partners’ safeguarding is something we are passionate about. We include safeguarding standards in our partner agreements for projects and we provide consultancy to partners on an individual basis. We hope to expand this to a more intensive training offered in a group setting to assist with networking, support, skills-building, and learning.
